London City Lionesses vs Liverpool
This was the first fixture drawn out of the hat. The reds secured their place in the fifth round after a 1-0 win against Bristol City where Ceri Holland was shown a red card and Gemma Bonner scored in the 85th minute to break the deadlock. London City Lionesses gave a brilliant performance to their fans at home with a 4-0 win over Moneyfields. This should be an interesting game as both teams are capable of securing a place in the quarter finals.
Arsenal vs Manchester City
The first and only WSL clash that was drawn out of the hat. The gunners secured their place in the fifth round after a convincing win against Watford which ended 5-1. With the only Watford scoring being the young forward Michelle Agyemang who is on loan from Arsenal. At only 17 years of age she is becoming a rising star for both her country England and her club. Manchester City booked their place in the fifth round after a dominant display against Durham where they gave their travelling fans a tremendous display which resulted in a 4-0 win. This will be a thrilling match as both teams look to book their place in the quarter finals.
Leicester City vs Birmingham City
Birmingham was sent to extra time by a penalty from Millie Ravening in the final minutes of added time. Birmingham then came down hard on the attack and the game finished 3-1. They survived the scare and secured their place in the fifth round. Leicester City on the other hand held a dominant display against Derby County where they ended the game 4-0 with an own goal helped to solidify their name in the hat.
Wolves vs Brighton Hove & Albion
Wolves is one of the last lowest ranked teams alongside Nottingham forest that have booked their place in the fifth round. Wolves came from behind against Reading to go on and win 2-1 but not without a fight as the game looked like it was going to go to extra time until the 87th minute when Destiney Toussaint scored to win the game for Wolves. Brighton booked their place in the fifth round after a tremendous display against lowest ranked team Luton Town where the game finished 6-0.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Charlton Athletic
The Lilywhites booked themselves a spot in the fifth round after surviving a scare which nearly sent them packing their bags and leaving the FA cup at the fourth round but captain Beth England to the rescue who scored twice in 11 minutes once she was subbed on. The game was then thought to going to additional time but Rosella Ayanne with a little bit of magic saved the lilywhites from fighting through additional teams and scored in the last few minutes of stoppage time. Charlton booked their place in the fifth round as an impressive display against Ipswich town where they won 4-1. Although in the opening stages of the game it was clear that Ipswich could take the win.
Nottingham Forest vs Everton
Forest is one of the last lowest ranking teams in the FA cup alongside Wolves. Forest booked their place in the fifth round after a 6-1 win against Plymouth Argyle where they had a dominant game. Everton booked their place after a shocking win against Aston Villa where the game finished 3-0. With Villa not being able to draw any back and failing to respond to the pressure that the toffees were placing on them.
Southampton vs Manchester United
The reds booked the their place in the hat after a convincing win against Newcastle with a 5-0 win. The reds had a dominant display for their home fans and are hoping to better last years tournament were they lost the final to Chelsea. The saints added their name to the hat after a 2-0 win against fellow championship side Sunderland. where it was an evenly matched game until Katie Wilkinson opened the score sheet for the saints in the 55th minutes and then scored again in the 88th minute.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea who are looking to do the quadruple and win the FA cup 4 times in a row survived the west ham scare as they where forced into extra time. the title holders where behind until Mia Fishel got subbed on in the 59th minute and not even 11 minutes later she had equalised for the blues. The game was then forced into extra time as neither team could find the winning goal. Erin Cuthbert then got the deciding goal which was followed by a goal from Aggie Beever-Jones just two minutes after she was subbed on. This then sealed the game to a close and Chelsea got to place their name in the hat. Crystal Palace booked their place in the fifth round after 3 goals in 15 minutes that Blackburn Rovers where unable to respond to. This resulted in the game finishing 3-1. Although the Eagles did hold the game 0-0 until the 57th minute.
