In coordination across TV, radio and online, the BBC will be showing live match coverage, highlights, analysis and digital content over the course of this summer on the FIFA Women’s World Cup. A BBC spokesperson said that “Fans can enjoy exclusive live coverage of England’s crucial group game against Denmark, the key round of 16 games, and both World Cup semi-finals.” The tournament kicks off on the 20th of July with the BBC showing the New Zealand vs Norway clash in Auckland.

The BBC have also just confirmed the team that will cover the tournament. Leading will be Reshmin Chowdhury, Alex Scott and Gabby Logan on TV and iPlayer. The pundit team will consist of Euros 2022 winner Ellen White, former England captain Steph Houghton and England’s most capped player Fara Williams.

England legends Rachel Brown-Finnis, Anita Asante and Karen Bardsley will provide tournament analysis. They will be joined by Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall, retired France player Laura Georges and Lewes head coach Scott Booth.

Over on Radio (Radio 5 live, 5 sports extra and BBC sounds), Juliette Ferrington will present with Vicki Sparks and Karen Bardsley – ex England goalkeeper – from down under, providing match commentaries. This will be for every England game as well as the Republic of Ireland’s matches against Australia and Canada. Key matches, such as both semifinals and the final, will be covered on 5 live too.

On BBC sounds, there will be a Daily podcast from the 17th of July featuring match reactions from some of the biggest names in the game, including Ellen White, Steph Houghton and Fran Kirby (and insights from inside camp!) There will also be a feature of lionesses – and head coach – on the second series of Jill Scott’s Coffee Club.
