April 3, 2022, FA Women’s Championship Match between London City Lionesses and Charlton Athletic Women.

The opening twenty minutes of the game were a slugfest, with neither team managing to make any progress with the ball. London City looked more menacing and dominated after that before Karin Muya bundled/headed home from close range to put them in the lead. The second half was all London City. The visitors consistently put pressure on the Charlton backline, particularly on the right-wing, forcing Eartha Cummings to make a series of saves. Shenade Hopcroft was largely responsible for LCL’s success. Karin extended her lead at the last minute of regular time. Overall, the game demonstrated that London City remains a dominant force, while Charlton still has a long way to go.
