The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has released the schedule for the 2024 season in tandem with the announcement of a new free streaming service. NWSL + will mean that every single NWSL game will be watchable. Along with the schedule, each game’s platform is already decided and posted, along with the dates, times, and locations of each game.
Season Opener
Get ready for an exciting kickoff to the 2024 NWSL season. The 2024 season kicks off on Saturday 16th March 2024, with games lined up for both Saturday and Sunday. Take note of the opening weekend fixtures:
16th March 2024
Kanas City Current vs Portland Thorns FC at 1 PM EST. That game will be on ABC and ESPN+ in the US.
Racing Louisville FC vs Orlando Pride at 4 PM EST and will be the first game on NWSL+.
North Carolina Courage vs Houston Dash at 7 PM EST, which will also be on NWSL+.
Utah Royals Take vs Chicago Red Stars at 7:30 PM EST, which is on ion.
Angel City FC takes vs Bay FC at 10 PM, which is also on Ion.
17th March 2024
Seattle Reign FC vs Washington Spirit at 6 PM EST on NWSL +
Two big names are missing from the opening weekend games. Last year’s NWSL champions, Gotham FC, and the shield winners (most points at the end of the season), San Diego Wave, will be playing each other at Red Bull Arena on March 15th at 8 PM for the NWSL Challenge Cup final. With two teams full of stars, it is the perfect game to get into the NWSL spirit. The game will be streaming on Prime Video in the US.

Where to watch the NWSL 2024 season
In total, each team will compete in 26 regular season matches, 13 at home and 13 on the road. Throughout the 2024 season, 121 matches will be distributed across the following partner platforms.

Weekly Friday night matches on Prime Video.

Weekly Saturday night double-headers on Scripps-owned ION network.

Regular season matches on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+, with additional matches airing on CBS Sports Network.

ESPN will air matches across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+.
All remaining games will be accessible on NWSL+, the league’s inaugural direct-to-consumer streaming platform. NWSL+ is free for everyone watching matches in the U.S., and you can easily download it on iOS/Android devices. It’s also compatible with popular streaming TV services like Apple TV, Fire TV, and Roku. In addition to live match coverage, you can enjoy highlights, some replays, and extra league and club content – all accessible for free through the app.
