The Catalan national team reunited after five years with a solidarity match. Catalonia faced the Ukrainian national team in a game where the Catalans presented a young but fast squad, while the Ukrainians stood out for their physicality and height.
Easily, the Catalan team broke the game, showing great superiority in defense and three-point shooting, surpassing a 30-point lead in the third quarter. The final score extended to 89-52. Catalan basketball celebrated its centenary by bringing back the national team and delighting all the attendees at the Fontajau Pavilion in Girona.
