- All remaining 23/24 Women’s Champions League matches free to air in the UK.
- Liga F, Frauen Bundesliga, Saudi Women’s Premier League, Italian Serie A Femminile and D1 Arkema also available in UK.
DAZN has dropped a game-changer! The streaming giant has officially waved goodbye to subscription fees for women’s football content in the UK throughout the rest of the 2023-24 season. That’s right, no more paywalls for this season!
This bold move by DAZN means that fans in the UK can now catch all the action from the Women’s Champions League and the women’s leagues in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, and Saudi Arabia without spending a single penny. All the leagues now at your fingertips, and it’s free!
DAZN has made this decision as part of their grand plan to skyrocket viewership and push the growth of women’s football. As they say, “strategic moves make for happy fans,” and we couldn’t agree more.
DAZN has been on a roll, expanding its coverage and scoring broadcast agreements with Liga F, D1 Arkema, Frauen Bundesliga, Serie A Femminile, and the Saudi Women’s Premier League. The global viewership stats speak for themselves, with 3.6 million tuning in for the 2021-2022 Champions League final and a whopping 5.1 million for the 2022-2023 showdown. That’s a whole lot of football!
Imagine tuning in to watch 29 nail-biting Champions League matches, 48 intense clashes in Spanish Liga F, another 48 in Frauen Bundesliga, 19 showdowns in D1 Arkema, 15 in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, and a whopping 50 matches in the Italian Serie A Femminile—all without having to pay. It’s a football lover’s dream come true!
Initially, the plan was to switch to a subscription model for the majority of these matches, but DAZN had a change of heart. In a statement released by DAZN, they declared, “This will drive audience growth and provide a new global home for women’s football, offering greater access to games, content and the international women’s football community.” Translation: More football for everyone!
And that’s not all. The channel will also show documentaries, including ‘EQUALS’, a six-part documentary series putting viewers one-on-one with some of the top stars in the women’s game like never before and ‘The Game that Changed Football’, a film about the historic UWCL Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF in front of a sold-out Camp Nou in March 2022.
So, whether you’re a seasoned football fanatic or just looking for some exciting entertainment, DAZN is rolling out the green carpet for you. It’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful game—all without breaking the bank. Thank you DAZN.
